What is occupational therapy?

Occupational therapy is a holistic health profession that looks at every aspect of the person to empower them to be as independent as possible in their daily lives. Occupational therapists are able to adapt the tasks and environment as well as determine and capitalize off of their clients strengths to enable their client to accomplish the things they have to and need to do. Occupational therapists take into account their clients physical, sensory, psychological, cognitive and even spiritual needs to empower them.

What insurance do you accept?

Rhoads to Independence is currently private pay only. We value fostering a close relationship with our clients and their families and have found the medical model of occupational therapy to be extremely limiting.

Do I need a referral?

Yes, in Pennsylvania we are required to have a referral to be able to see your child for OT services.

How do we pay you?

We are able to accept payment a variety of ways including check, PayPal/Venmo, and cash. We are able to accept credit card payments via PayPal.

My child has trouble focusing throughout the day, can you help?

Yes, we can! We have a lot of experience on helping kids regulate themselves and focus!

Could we do their OT at a park or in our yard?

Absolutely! We are able to work on your child's skills in a variety of locations! We are happy to complete their services in an outdoor area of that makes you more comfortable.
